ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE EXTENDED TO SEPTEMBER 30, 2023!
An online conference at the Syed Ahsan Ali and Syed Maratib Ali School of Education (SOE), Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Pakistan.
The inaugural Regional Conference on Arts and Media Education offers a vital platform to discuss and engage with the transformative role of arts and media in education across a vibrant and diverse region spanning South Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East. We welcome and encourage submissions from both academics and practitioners around the globe, who are conducting research or work related to these regions.
Our goal is to challenge the existing educational landscape by promoting arts and media from peripheral subjects to central pedagogical tools and learning experiences, driving holistic, experiential, and engaging learning environments. This conference recognizes the transformative potential of arts and media in these regions, emphasizing their role in reshaping educational delivery and experiences. Furthermore, it highlights how arts and media can shape thought, encourage critical perspectives, and deepen our understanding of our multifaceted world.
Recognizing the need for a broad, interdisciplinary approach, we aim to build a cross-cutting community of academics, educators, artists, media practitioners, policy makers, and students. This conference serves as a bridge to overcome disciplinary, geographical, and cultural divides, creating a platform for shared experiences, insights, and research.
