Convocation 2022

On June 30^th, LUMS held the Convocation ceremony for the graduating batch of 2022. It was a joyous occasion for not only the families of the graduating students but also the respective schools with which the students had their long-term association. Dr. Arshad Ahmad, Vice Chancellor LUMS, termed the graduates as change agents, “When your purpose becomes clear; inspire others; your role must be to bring change and hope for a better Pakistan.”

The LUMS Syed Ahsan Ali and Syed Maratib Ali School of Education welcomed back the students from the Class of 2022. Dr. Tayyaba Tamim, Associate Professor and Director Academics at SOE, while congratulating the students said: “It’s time again to make choices. It takes a lot of courage to make those choices. Imagination is integral to this. Always dare to imagine. Imagine to enable people to be where you are.”   

Alina Hayat Noon received NMF Gold Medal for first position in MPhil ELM programme, while Arslan Abdullah received Shaila and Tahir Andrabi Leadership and Service Award. Alina Hayat Noon, Hadia Shaukat, Saira Abbas Qureshi, Misha Zahid Gondal, Mavra Amjad, Faryal Humayun and Maham Afzal received their shields for graduating on Dean’s Honor Roll.

The day ended with students revisiting their memories at a place which they call home and making new ones with their loved ones on achieving this milestone.
