SOE Hosts Placement Interview Session for MPhil ELM Class of 2026
On 4th April 2026, the Placement Office at the School of Education (SOE) organized its flagship event, the Interview Session, for the outgoing Class of 2026 of the MPhil Education Leadership and Management programme, including both Full-time and Weekend Track students. The session brought together leading professionals from the education sector to conduct one-on-one interviews, offer career insights, and explore potential employment opportunities with graduating students.
Distinguished representatives included Usman Aziz (Programme Monitoring & Implementation Unit – PMIU), Anum Tawha (Punjab Skills Development Fund – PSDF), Muhammad Anees and Maham Khan (Froebel’s International School), Furrha Ahsan (SICAS), Arslan Sajid and Syeda Neha Batul Rizvi (Akademos), Khizar Tahseen (LUMSx and SOE alum), Hafiz Muhammad Umair and Hadiya Asim (Amal Academy), and Maliha Hassan (Ali Institute of Education – AIE). Over the course of the session, 60 one-on-one interviews were conducted, alongside informal group discussions.
In the lead-up to the session, the Placement Office conducted professional development workshops on communication, interview skills, and career exploration using design thinking, equipping candidates with the tools needed to navigate recruitment-oriented interactions effectively. Students were also surveyed for their sector preferences and matched with relevant organizations, ensuring targeted and meaningful exchanges during the session.
The event concluded on a positive note, delivering value to both students and participating organizations. Students gained real-time feedback, clearer industry insights, and a better understanding of how their skills align with organizational needs, while industry representatives, in turn, engaged with a pool of standout graduates and identified promising talent. Several candidates were recognized for their potential, with representatives shortlisting individuals and collecting resumes for potential opportunities. The session not only facilitated recruitment pathways for our students but also further strengthened the bridge between academia and industry, reinforcing SOE’s commitment to developing impactful education leaders.
