From Capstone to Publication at the SOE Workshop for MPhil Graduates

LUMS

The School of Education (SOE) at LUMS recently hosted a Capstone Publication Workshop for graduates of its MPhil programme, facilitated by Dr. Jessica Albrent. The workshop was designed to support alumni in transforming their capstone research into publishable scholarly work by equipping them with practical knowledge of the academic publication process.

The full-day workshop provided participants with an in-depth understanding of the key stages involved in preparing research for publication. Through a combination of expert-led sessions, interactive discussions, and hands-on activities, participants explored strategies for refining their manuscripts, responding to reviewer feedback, selecting appropriate journals, and navigating the broader academic publishing landscape.

The workshop also created a collaborative learning environment where participants engaged directly with Dr. Albrent, discussed their research projects, exchanged ideas with peers, and received valuable feedback to strengthen their work. The interactive nature of the sessions encouraged meaningful dialogue and provided graduates with practical insights that will support their continued research journeys.

SOE extends its sincere appreciation to Dr. Jessica Albrent for generously sharing her expertise, mentorship, and guidance throughout the workshop. The School also thanks all participants for their enthusiasm and active engagement, which contributed to the success of the programme.

As part of its commitment to fostering a vibrant research culture, the School of Education continues to provide opportunities that empower its graduates to extend the impact of their research beyond the classroom and contribute meaningfully to educational scholarship.
