In the spirit of providing a world-class education to the country’s most talented youth, the LUMS BSc Class of 2010 has raised PKR 14 million to create the ‘Waheeb and Rafia BSc Class of 2010 Endowment Fund’. The fund is named in honour of their classmates, Waheeb Alam and Rafia Amber, both of whom have passed away.

The endowment of PKR 14 million will be used to provide a 100% tuition fee waiver for one financially challenged undergraduate scholar in perpetuity. The MOU between LUMS and representatives of BSc Class of 2010 was initially signed on June 21, 2017. Over three years, the fund has received generous contributions from LUMS alumni, their friends and families, and employer-matching programmes, spread across the world.

This fund is a testament to the spirit of giving imbued in the alumni body, and their dedication to contribute towards transforming communities by making quality education accessible to all those who deserve it.
