PHEC Leadership and Management Program for Vice Chancellors

Punjab HEC organized a 5-Day Leadership and Management Program for Vice Chancellors/Rectors to strengthen networking, to share innovative ideas and to enable them to transform the higher education institutions to improve the quality of education. The program aided in developing a new insight for better institutional planning and growth through sharing of experiences and best practices implemented by eminent educationalists and seasoned Vice Chancellors.

This program was directed by Dr. Faisal Bari, Dean, School of Education, LUMS. Dr. Bari while giving the welcome note said: "This training programme is a dialogue to allow the opportunity for you all to learn from the experience of each other. The more open we are to these conversations, the more we will learn from our collective experiences."

Dr. Arshad Ahmad, Vice Chancellor, LUMS, during his session on Teaching & Learning - Role of Faculty & Students, elaborated on the need to provide opportunities for faculty to develop their craft and expertise as teachers.

Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, Governor Punjab and Raja Yassir Humayun Sarfraz, Minister for Higher Education & Information Technology, Punjab, graced the closing ceremony with their presence as guest speakers. Dr. Faisal Bari, Programme Director of the training was presented with a souvenir as token of appreciation from the guest speakers on behalf of Punjab HEC.

Dr. Bari thanked the participants for their valuable contributions throughout the programme. In his closing remarks, he emphasized on the importance of continuing this conversation about improving and upholding standards of quality in higher education.
