Daniyal Yousaf is a Teaching Fellow at the School of Education (SOE), LUMS. His research interests include race, ethnicity and migration, social and criminal justice and political and urban sociology. He majored in political science during his undergraduate education at LUMS.

Prior to joining LUMS, he has taught at the School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences of Beaconhouse National University and has extensively worked with the anti-death penalty organization Justice Project Pakistan as a research consultant and advocacy officer. He has also worked as a journalist and was on the editorial board of the English Language newspaper Daily Times.

At SOE, Mr. Yousaf teaches courses on qualitative research methods and immigration and education, while also overseeing a student-led field research project in the schools of Lahore.

He has a Masters in Sociology from Columbia University where he was a Fulbright Scholar and was trained in ethnographic research methods.
