Program Details

Certificate in School Leadership and Management is a six-week in-person program for existing and aspiring, primary and secondary school leaders.

This is a non-residential, weekend-based program. All classes will be scheduled on Saturdays.

This action-oriented, research-backed program combines research and theory with practical strategies to provide school leaders with frameworks, skills, and knowledge to effectively lead schools and educational institutes.

The program comprises of the following three modules:

1. Leading Self: Develop a critical understanding of yourself and of leadership practices that build an inclusive educational environment.
2. Leading Learning: Gain deeper insights on the scholarship on teacher learning, professional learning communities, and instructional leadership for 21^st-century education institutions.
3. Leading Organizations: Examine change process in educational settings and understand how to develop strategies to lead organizations towards excellence.

The program also features networking and practitioner workshops led by education sector practitioners and experts. These workshops will enable students to develop linkages with other professionals in the education sector and learn from their hands-on experience.

Who Should Participate

The Certificate in School Leadership and Management is designed for school leaders who are looking to deepen their knowledge of educational leadership and management in schools. Specifically:

• Early-career and experienced principals or school leaders
• School management and administration teams
• Head teachers responsible for supporting and managing teams of teachers or other school staff
• Experienced teachers of schools aspiring to attain leadership positions
• Owners of private schools
• Education managers of social sector schools

Admission Criteria

Bachelor’s degree from institutions recognized by Higher Education Commission, Pakistan.
Applications will be screened with regards to the candidate’s suitability for the programme
