MPhil Class of 2020 Gears up for the next challenge – The Practicum

Friday, December 20, 2019

On December 17, 2019, Dr. Tahir Andrabi, Dean SOE addressed the senior MPhil Students of Class 2020, wishing them luck for their practicum.

The practicum is a semester long residency program, when students in their third semester partner with educational institutions to conduct research, and get real-time exposure to challenges in education leadership and management. The practicum encourages the students to address these issues by developing research-based solutions to problems encountered in the field. The Practicum will enable students to contribute to effective educational planning and policy implementation in the education sector.

While speaking to the crowd Dr. Tahir Andrabi said that as the first cohort of MPhil ELM at SOE, the class of 2020 carried great responsibility as they start their practical journey and work with partner organisations. He said that as the first ever graduates of MPhil ELM, the class of 2020 will create the first impression in the education sector, and also set a precedent for the following batches. He advised the students to take this position responsibly. He commended the students on their rigor and passion, and showed full faith in their abilities.
